“When we ask our patrons what they liked most about the fair, more often than not, they mention the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers. They comment on how your group is one of the most exciting "stand out" entertainers they experience at our fair.”
-Cathy Mordente, Special Events Manager

"Smiles of delight and appealing to all ages in a totally entertaining way may best describe what you do. Not only is the music fun to listen to, but you have a knack for captivating a crowd and holding them spellbound. People truly look forward to attending the fair, and seeing the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers. I would hate to go through a Fair without you! I can honestly say that any event is brighter and better with the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers as a part of it."

"It was quite a pleasure having the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers perform at the Dutchess County Fair. The ability of the Stompers to engage and entertain the crowds is amazing. Not only are you first class performers, you are a great group of people to work with, we are looking forward to your return to the Dutchess County fair in the near future."

Dutchess County Fair, Rhinebeck, New York
"We have found Circle City Sidewalk Stompers to be the perfect combination of whimsy and virtuosity, delighting both serious music fans and the young-at-heart. Although their hilarious antics and irreverent style delight children of all ages, there is no "clowning around" when it comes to quality of Circle City's music. They stack up well against some of the most prominent brass ensembles in the country.
Over the years, Circle City has become a family favorite at our Great American Brass Band Festival. While we seek each year to rotate other bands through the line-up, Circle City is a tradition the crowd never grows tired of. Steve Sutherlin is very dependable and thorough, and is wonderful to work with.
They provide a great family-focused act. We truly have been very pleased with the partnership we have created with the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers over the past 25 years, and I highly recommend them with absolutely no reservation."
-Kay Berggren - Steering Committee
GABBF - Great American Brass Band Festival, Danville, Kentucky
The Circle City Sidewalk Stompers Clown Band has been performing fast-moving, choreographed routines to upbeat music since 1976. The musicians, including trumpets, trombones, saxophones, bass and snare drums, and sousaphone are dressed in colorful clown costumes and entertain the crowd with comic interaction and fancy footwork.
At the age of five, Steve Sutherlin played trumpet for his kindergarten graduating class. At that time, he had no way of knowing where his trumpet playing would take him. Instilled with a love of music by his father, Steve and his four siblings...
"Forty-five years ago when I first started the band, I had no idea where it would go. Over the years, our group has made millions of people smile with our family friendly show that connects with people of all ages. It's unbelievable to me that our passion for music has taken us throughout the U.S. and now world wide. I can't wait to see what we do next!"
